Cuba Missouri – Sangamon Dock

During our trip on Old Route 66, we made a stop at the “World’s Largest Rocking Chair on Route 66” in Fanning Missouri. The once “World’s Largest Rocking Chair” now believed to be the 2nd largest, was erected on historic Route 66 next to the Fanning Outpost General Store in 2008. Designed by John R. Bland and fabricated by Joe Medwick the chair stood at 42 feet tall and 20 feet wide – it was the biggest rocking chair in all of America!

The Fanning 66 Outpost General Store has probably one of the largest selections of Route 66 merchandise in Missouri. This is worth the stop in Missouri, even if just to snap a photo and stretch your legs. This is a great place to be and perfect for photos.
