Happy Birthday to Sangamon Watch Company, officially 2 years old today. In the past two years, we created 4 amazing collections, more excitements are coming in 2021 and 2022! After buying over 70 watches before the pandemic while I was traveling around the world, when our colleague Mark told me and Tyler that Springfield was once the home of Illinois Watch Company in early 1900s, we decided to launch our own brand the very moment after Tyler googled Illinois Watch Company story. Even both Tyler and I have lived in Central Illinois for decades, we have never heard about the history of Illinois watchmaking industry, therefore we decided to craft all of our products with historic themes. It has been quite a journey for us to start a new watch business during the pandemic.
