Honoring D-Day 77th Anniversary, Split Second Watch Channel Reviews Omaha Beach Collection

Split Second Watch YouTube Channel has recently reviewed the Omaha Beach Collection watch of Sangamon Watch Company in Springfield Illinois USA. The Omaha Beach Collection watches are especially popular amongst US veterans and military families. We are extremely happy for the review by Split Second Watch since June 6 will be the 77th anniversary of Operation Overlord which was the codename for the Battle of Normandy, the Allied operation that launched the successful invasion of German-occupied Western Europe during World War II.

Omaha, commonly known as Omaha Beach, was the code name for one of the five sectors of the Allied invasion of German occupied France in the Normandy landing on June 6, 1944. “Omaha” refers to 5 miles section of the coast of Normandy, France, facing the English Channel. Landings here were necessary to link the British landings to the east at Gold with the American landing to the west at Utah, thus providing a continuous lodgement on the Normandy coast of the Bay of the Seine. Taking Omaha was to be the responsibility of US Army troops, with sea transport, mine sweeping, and a naval bombardment force provided predominantly by the US Navy and Coast Guard, with contributions from the British, Canadian and Free French navies.

The Omaha Beach Collection is designed and produced by Sangamon Watch Company to honor approximately 2400 American soldiers who made ultimate sacrifice on the Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944. Remember those who laid down their lives for our freedom. Omaha Beach Collection watches would make a great gift for dads. Special discount code: DDAY77
